The Rangers have been one of the best baserunning teams in the last couple years, but they've been terrible tonight. It should be 4-0 right now.

Firing the hitting coach is a bit extreme dont you think

It's rather annoying when your team displays poor plate discipline year after year. In 2010 you could write it off as youth, but at this point that doesn't work any more. Votto has pretty good plate discipline though so maybe you can't blame everything on the hitting coach.

The Braves bats were due to cool off a bit, but damn not that much. What a performance from Anibal, and the best part, didn't have to rely on the back end of the bullpen to win it.

Kyle Kendrick pitched a great game for the Phillies last night against the Mets. 3-hit shutout. Ryan Howard looks to be getting his power stroke back too which is a good sign.

JP, EE, and Jose have a combined 21 home runs (and Jose has the fewest out of them; watch out AL pitching). Now if there were just some wins to go along with all that power.

And I see Atlanta hasn't gotten over their whiffing ways yet. 17???

Wei-Yen Chen went 8 inning for the Orioles, which given the outing of their starters this year is ****ing amazing. Good to see the bull pen (minus Johnson for the save) get a day off on a long west coast roadie.
