    lol, speaking of fantasy teams.

I hate how 2 of my teams have had horrible injury luck. One team had as many as 5 guys(all of them are guys I can't afford to release) on the DL. In leagues where you can only have 1-2 guys on the DL, it really hurts my roster.

They play the Sox at key points for the rest of the season. The Red Sox also have a pretty tough schedule over the next few weeks. Day night DH Tuesday vs Rays, 1 game on Wednesday, then 4 at the Tigers. This stretch in which the Jays are playing ALE teams is the conclusion of one of the harder stretches the Sox have had this season.
The east games will be interesting to see how much teams rise and fall. Jays for example have played 32 games vs east so far, Yankees only 27.

Jays are 30-28 against everyone not including the Yankees so far this season. Which isn't horrible, but is good considering how much Jays struggled early on.

For AL in general, right now 91 wins is projected to take the 2nd WC spot.

That's just assuming that Texas plays the same the rest of the way and that is dangerous to do, especially given how they are playing this month. One set of projections I see has Tampa with the 2nd wild card at 86 wins. Baseball prospectus has the Yankees as the 2nd wild card with 87 wins.

AL Wild Card spot really depends on how strong rest of league is.

From 07-10, if 2nd WC spot existed, it'd take less than 90 wins to get it. But past 2 seasons, it took 90+ wins to finish 2nd in WC standings(or in 2012s case, 2nd WC spot)

Unlike the NL. Where in the past 10 seasons, only 1 time has multiple non division winners won 90+ games(sometimes, the NL WC winner didn't even have 90+ wins!)

I wonder if AL East could finish with 5 teams all at or above .500. Don't think that's ever happened before in MLB history(or pro sports history in general?) where all teams in single division finished at or above .500?

2002 AFC East. New York, New England, Miami were tied at 9-7, Buffalo was 8-8.

2010 NFC West. All teams were below .500. Falls into the same category.

                2005 NL East.

1991 AL West, most impressive since it was 7 teams.

Sveum should be fired. It seems like everybody except him knows that Marmol can't get anyone out. I can't believe he left him out there.

Royals have now won 8 straight games in which Jeff Francoeur was intentionally walked.

The Tigers have won 1 straight game in which Valverde was not the closer.

I think it is safe to say Toronto is about to go 24-0 when leading after 7 unless they have an epic meltdown, unlikely these days with the bullpen. An Angels comeback would be nice to make up that extra game on the Yankees, but I'll take a game on the Sox and Rays.

5 game win streak and 5.5 out of the wild card. Made up 3 games on the wild card position in June (went from 14th to 10th in the AL), and not done with home games against Colorado and Baltimore this week.

The Jays are playing some crazy good baseball right now but i'm waiting to see how they do against the Rockies before I say this is the start of a big turnaround for them.

Nice to see Wang pitch so well today too.

Replay of the '85 ALCS? I think so.

It may just be a replay of game 7 unless you get rid of Detroit. One of us has to win a division to make that happen. I wasn't born yet, but still can't believe Toronto dropped 3 games in a row to lose that series.
