i think the yankees will end up like the lakers this year, at the beginning of the year, they looked unstoppable. Gary Payton, Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Karl Malone, and others. Now look at them, theyve had problems all year with injuries ect.

Even though I am a Yankee fan and love to see this, this information is irrelevent for the fact that each of the pitchers could be switched with another causing the score to change for example:

You had
SP- Russ Ortiz vs Kevin Beown NYY wins 7-3
SP- Kerry Wood vs John Leiber NL wins 7-6

If you switch Brown and Lieber you get

SP-Russ Ortiz vs. John Lieber NL Wins
SP- Kerry Wood vs. Kevin Brown NL Wins (Wood is younger and throws harder)

This can also be done for the outfielders, but it wouldnt just take away from the Yankees, it could take away from either depending on how you arranged it.

Just trying to point it out.

You don't really need to worry about the Yankees being better than last years NL team. The only thing you need to know is that the Yankees were not better than the Florida Marlins. And that's that.
