Yeah, Brewers announcers are pretty good. Only thing I don't like is how they sometimes try to shift the attention from the game to other things. I know the Brewers are bad, but some games they seem to spend more time in the stands interviewing fans than actually paying attention to the game.

One guy I really liked that used to do Brewers games was Matt Vasgersian. He always did a good job making even the most boring, lop-sided game somewhat entertaining. He left us after 2001, I think I heard somewhere he's with the Padres now. I'll have to try to catch some of their games on MLBTV this year if he is with them.

Bob Uecker is great too. Too bad he just broadcasts locally, alot of people don't get to hear him call a game.

There's not many announcers that I've heard and didn't like, but last night I was watching a bit of an M's game, and their announcers seemed damn boring. I hope it was just a bad game for them, cuz I plan on seeing alot of M's games this year.

If you want to talk boring, than lets talk about the Braves crew, Skip Carey, Don Sutton and Joe Simpson are probabley the boringist broadcast team there is, they could put even the worst insomniacs to sleep.

The Giants have some good announcers, with John Miller, Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow. Krukow's a total homer, but he explains a lot of stuff about being a player, and makes it real interesting. Joe Angel was pretty boring last year, and am glad he's not doing any games for them this year. He just didn't sound like he was into it at all.

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

John Miller is great, but Krukow is a freakin tool. Jerry Coleman in San Diego is a crack up. How can you beat, "He slides into second with a stand up double," or, "It's a deep drive to center, Winfield is going back, his head hits the wall, it's rolling towards second base." Yes he really said those things.

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Coleman's quotes are funny, just like: "Finley, going back...back...back...back... and he has no trouble catching this one." or "It headed towards the alley... and it's foul." or how about this one "Here's the pitch, he struck him out! No, it's a home run! a three-run home run, the Giants win."

Vasgergian was awesome, just awesome. Anyone who can make Brewers games watchable, much less entertaining like Matt did is a great announcer. Uecker is a legend, best radio man in the biz. Vin Scully does a great job with LA games, I like to watch them on MLB Exra Innings.

My favorite has to be the Jerry Remy/Don Orsillo combo for Boston though, very good announcing, good mix of humor.

Also the YES Network announcers are just plain awful. It's hard to watch Yankee games already, but with those clowns in the booth, it's close to unbearable. If not for my intense hatred to the Yankees, I wouldn't be able to stomach it.

One more thing, the White Sox announcers that do the "You can put it on the booooard...YES!" deserve some mentioning. GREAT home run call. They also always refer to the White Sox as the "Good Guys."
