      Re: Good/Bad Announcers...?

Being a Mets fan I would sound homerish, but I think even non-Mets fans agree with me... John Sterling, Michael Kay, and Suzyn Waldman are the three worst announcers in MLB. Sterling sounds like he's having a stroke with "Theeeeeeee Yankees Win!" and Kay got his nose so far up Steinbrenner's butt there's poop on his lip. Whenever he talks baseball, it's "Yankees are number 1", even if the Yanks got swept in a series against the Tigers. He won't admit that the Yanks are in a slump whenever they lose five in a row. Some women (I don't want to get flamed for this) are not cut out for announcing. Waldman is one of them. She's an even worse homer than Kay (if that's possible) and she has an annoying voice. The coverage of the A-Rod press conference on YES (I know it's still the Yankees network, but I thought it was unprofessional) was bad due to the fact that Kay and Waldman made A-Rod seem like the second coming of Christ. If you ever watch the MLB Extra Innings Package or watch a Yanks game on YES and you are not a Yankees fan, bring your barf bag, you may get sick by the third inning from the blatant homerism.

Boston's are pretty good, Sean McDonugh and Jerry Remmy do a good job, Vin Scully in L.A. he may be getting old and his stories are getting tired but the man is a legend, can't stand the Angels pair of Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler, Physioc is boring and Hudler is annoying, makes me long for the days of Ken Wilson and Ken Brett.

I love Tom Hamilton in Cleveland, I guess alot of people like who they grew up listening to.
Also I enjoy Joe Morgan as a color guy.

Marty Brennaman kicks *** at broadcasting for the Cincy Reds, although lately he hasn't had much to get excited about lol... he even does play by play NCAA basketball on CBS Radio. It would be sad not to mention Joe Nuxall's name as a partner with Marty, the 'ole left hander calls 3 or 4 innings to give Marty a break and Nuxxy does a pretty good job!

The Giants have some good announcers, with John Miller, Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow. Krukow's a total homer, but he explains a lot of stuff about being a player, and makes it real interesting. Joe Angel was pretty boring last year, and am glad he's not doing any games for them this year. He just didn't sound like he was into it at all.
