No you're totally right, Bryce should be all mopey and quit and not try and put a fire under his team and ignite some drive/competition/fury/etc. He should totally just mail it in now and sing the Braves praises...I mean it's what the Phillies would do...

Salazar goes 1-2-3 through the Tigers line-up, was hitting 98-99 just about ever time then absolutley froze Miguel Cabrera on a beautiful 12-6 curve. Salazar tweeted before the game we will win today, backed up that confidence in the first inning.Comment

Re: 8/5 - 8/11 Game Discussion Thread
The number of baserunners that Ryne Sandberg has sent that have been thrown out at the plate this season is absolutely mind-boggling. It has to be double digits. Very annoying.
On that same play Dioner Navarro was drilled at home plate by Chase Utley in a collision and had to be carted off of the field. Looks like a leg injury of some kind. Second serious looking injury for the Cubs in this game.Last edited by PhilliesFan13; 08-07-2013, 08:21 PM.Comment

Saw Salazar pointing to the sky as if it was a flyout too. Look on his face afterwards was like, "Shouldn't have done that."Comment
