Salazar looked good though, I mean striking out Miggy three times in a game doesn't happen often so props to him. He definitely has the easy gas on his fastball.

Not liking this. Guys on 2nd and 3rd and Rondon comes in. Hope he has great command today.

EDIT: Or the HIGH heat...blew that fastball past Raburn at 103 and then another to get the strikeout.

Man, this team is just rollin' right now. Uptons turning it on at the same time is a blessing.

I hope we don't peak too early, though. I'd hate to crash as the calendar turns to October.

Lots of pitches for Kimbrel tonight. Off day will be welcome for rest. Braves had 20 games in a row out of the break, went 16-4.

15 and 1/2 game lead going into mid August. Didn't see that one coming...

His average fastball is 99.7 mph. Yowser.

If I may shift gears for a moment gentleman, Cox vs. a Hurricane, who would win?

                      Cox!

Hold on, Hold on, Hold on. The name of the Hurricane is Hurricane Cox.

Whew. Benoit nearly gives it away, but the Tigers hold on, 6-5. 12-3 against the Indians.

1.53 ERA. He's gotta give up some runs at some point.

The White Sox are funny...or delusional...I can't tell.

“The White Sox were fielding trade offers for Rios before the July 31 deadline, but never found a match. The Rangers and Pittsburgh Pirates were reportedly in the mix. A league source told Levine that negotiations with the Rangers ended when the White Sox wanted 20-year-old second base prospect Jurickson Profar.”

The Texas Rangers have put in a claim on Chicago White Sox outfielder Alex Rios, a source told ESPN Insider Jim Bowden.

What a disappointing few weeks for the Rockies. They go from having a decent chance at winning the NL West, to losing 9 of their last 10 games.. They did come across some pretty bad luck though, having to play the hot Pirates and Braves, then having to go against guys like Harvey and Fernandez.

The worst part is there really isn't a clear reason why they are playing so horribly. They lack a 5th starter, but their 1-3 is very solid and Nicasio has performed well in the 4th spot lately.

So frustrating to watch such inconsistencies. They have a solid line-up that will go on streaks of getting 4 or 5 hits a game and either the bullpen or starting pitcher will have an "off" game when their bats actually hit the way they should. They just can't seem to put it all together at the same time.

Ryan Raburn in to pitch the final inning for Cleveland. Fitting end to a bloodletting of a series.
