7 games vs St. Louis and Tampa without Hanley, and LA still won 6.

I mostly meant keep up the pace of everyone on the team playing out of their minds.

It is mid-August and they are nine games under .500, man. It's over.

Utter insanity in Houston...the Home Plate ump is out of control. Blew a 2-2 strike that would have ended the inning and after Darvish walks the hitter AJ says something to the Ump and gets tossed. Sick of confrontational umpires.

            So negative around here....

They are currently 11 games out of the WC in "mid-August." They were 6 games out of the WC in '07 in September.

It's possible. Not saying it's going to happen but there is still a very slim chance.

They better get on that win-21/22-run now though.

After their win tonight, they have exactly a 0.6% chance of making the playoffs. So, basically, in the current situation they are in they will get in about once every 200 years or so. Don't hold your breath.

The place you got that 0.6% number must be generous. The site I use has their 14-2 win tonight as upping their playoff chances by .04%....up to a total of 0.1%.

I have absolutely 0 thoughts about the postseason at this point, but thanks for confirming that there is still a chance.

Out of curiousity, anyone know what their % to get into the postseason was in '07? and when was it the lowest?

Dunno. But the '07 Rockies were a good team that was rather unlucky before winning 14 of their last 15 regular season games. At the start of their streak, they were 76-72 and 4th place in the NL West, but their run differential was +51, 4th in the entire NL.
