Well, if he successfully hits Simmons he puts on a force for Janish (who can't hit) and the pitcher. There's a good chance you get out of the inning or face Heyward with two outs, while getting some in retaliation for what the Braves have done to Harper.

This was all right after a visit with the pitching coach. Again, I still can't rule out the fact that it could have been intentional.

Pretty cool watching two of the future stars at the hot corner playing in Baltimore. Arenado at age 22 and Machado at 21.

That's it. I've had it. I'm mentally drained from this.

I watched a little of the game (mainly because Buck wasn't calling it) I thought McCarver was ok until that section of the game where they talked about Charlie Manuel. You'd think the Phillies fired Casey Effin' Stengel or something! To top it off, the usually solid Ken Rosenthal chipped in with a report about how Shane Victorino was so sad he almost cried.

                          WHAT THE EFF?!

It was so absurd and ridiculous.

after watching the Strasburg ejection, I didn't think it was intentional, it looked like he had control issues and besides who in their right mind would throw at a player with a man at 3rd just to settle a score.

If they did, the Nats have a lot bigger issues then being behind the Barves in a playoff race.

Not only that, they just burned through their entire bullpen for today's game.

To be fair, so did Atlanta...really was disappointed they didn't win that one last night as it would have been a dagger, but truthfully the Nats needed that one way more than the Braves. Just hope Teheran goes deep into today's game and we can take 2 of 3.
