      This should be the punishment.

Cardinals have to give Heyward back to the Braves and pay for his new deal.

      I don't care what else.

More All-Star voting ridiculousness, this time in the NL...

There's just one glaring problem: Nori Aoki has passed Giancarlo Stanton for the third outfield spot.
          http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-bi...224239429.html

At this point, I want this to get as out of hand as possible with the hope that the vote is taken away from the fans. It's obvious that most people "voting" either don't watch Baseball or are missing a chromosome, possibly both.

This is why we can't have nice things.

This is starting to get ridiculous.

I agree, something needs to change with voting.

I applaud Kansas City and its fans.

I've always felt that the best way to get the league to change or adjust rules that favor only one or some teams is to abuse the current system. It's the only way to make sure those that can vote for changes pay attention and do something.

I've long done it in online baseball sim leagues I'm in. It works nearly 100% of the time and makes the game fairer for everyone.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Nori Aoki's actually been insanely good this year, lol. Not Stanton but still probably makes it as an all-star most years.

                    Half glass full:

It makes MLB realize the ASG is for the fans...and thus they pull the home-field advantage nonsense.

I just don't understand MLB's logic for allowing people to vote 35 times per email address, or whatever it is. Why is it not just one vote per email address?

To encourage website hits, and have people on their site longer so they can claim the average visitor time on their website is longer than it actually should be(which drives up price for advertisements)?

Or maybe because they want the voting to skew younger so that the game will be more appealing to the under 50 crowd?
