Or maybe they're glitching it on purpose so they can just throw their hands up and say the whole process has been compromised.

I've gotten 8 emails today thanking me for voting, then telling me I can still vote 10 more times (I can't)

Make it stop! I keep on getting emails every few hours about this, it's getting real annoying!

        Few quick thoughts:
        • Guy who caught ARod's 3,000th hit needs to shut up and give him the ball...quit trying to profit on something which costed you nothing. You know NYY will give you something in return for giving the ball back so that should be plenty
        • Barry Bonds never hit 3000...that surprised when I was looking at his stats on FanGraphs earlier.
        • I'm surprised ESPN hasn't tried to purchase FanGraphs; I miss the old Sports Science that was on Fox Sports.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It's really hard for guys who walk a lot to get to 3,000 hits...it's a nice accomplishment, but not the best indication of the quality of a hitter.

At this point, I want this to get as out of hand as possible with the hope that the vote is taken away from the fans. It's obvious that most people "voting" either don't watch Baseball or are missing a chromosome, possibly both.

This is why we can't have nice things.
I'm not saying Aoki should be ahead of Stanton, but he's not exactly having a Harper/Goldschmidt like season all around. He has the home runs, no doubt... don't dismiss Aoki, though. He has 20 less home runs than Stanton, yet his OPS is only 70 points below. And crap, he has only struck out 17 times, with an average against lefties of .340. Nice year.

Stanton should undoubtedly be ahead of Aoki. Just think Aoki should be right up there in the top 5 though.

He was also stuck at 1,996 RBI's, because every team in the league colluded against signing him. Most ridiculous **** that I've seen. The guy's OBP in his last season was .480.

While true, 4,000 hits is just truly unbelievable in terms of longevity and putting balls in play successfully so much. Even though Pete Rose leads the world in official at-bats as well, that is just such a massive number.

On that note, Rodriguez's 3,000th hit puts him at #29 on the all-time hit list, passing the late great Stan Ross.

                1) Haven't been following this situation at all, but I don't see why he should give the ball back. He isn't entitled to anything in exchange for the ball but he also isn't obligated to "give it back".

                3) And that may be evidence that there is some god after all.

Yep once the ball leaves the field of play, whoever catches is the rightful owner of the ball. He can do whatever the hell he wants with it. I was talking about this today at a grad party. I would tell A-Rod if you want this ball so bad, give me the money I need to attend college for the next 4 years and it's yours.

He's certainly not trying to profit. He wants to do something creative according to his blog. He donates a lot of money to charity.

If he gets offered life changing money that no normal person could turn down I'm sure he'll (understandably) take that but beyond that I think he'll do something funny with it.

Toussaint and Arroyo for essentially-salary-dump Phil Gosselin.... wow. Stewart is hitting new lows.

I never thought these words would be spoken in the same sentence, but John Hart made a very good trade...

Yes, I was confused at first, but then did some research Toussaint is a decent prospect for a reserve infielder. Nice deal for the Braves.
