I wonder if this will be a case where MLB will have to step in and quash some of these selections.

Strictly speaking, no but it does make a mockery of the voting process if you end up with a team almost full of Royals.

It's the system they put in place though. And besides, they'll only be in for a couple innings.

I typically vote for my favorite players, and not just the agreed upon, statistically "right" choices - which is dumb and boring and a whole different discussion - but voting straight home team like that is kinda lame too. But other fan bases could step up if they wanted to.

I've always thought that the baseball writers should vote the All-Star game. Fans pick players from their favorite teams or their favorite players, and rightfully so, but I think you will always miss out on putting someone in the ASG that deserves to go.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Baseball writers? We should have the coaches/gm vote players or something instead. But the same argument gets said by all leagues in response to stuff like that. "It's a game for the fans, so fans should vote in players".

There should be some sort of weighted vote on this stuff. Fans get 50% of voting power while rest of gms/coaches get the remaining 50% power.

The players and coaches already vote...They vote in all the pitchers and bench players except for that final spot, which goes to the fans.

The new 76ers logo reminds me so much of a modified Twins logo.

I don't believe that O's logo is a main logo though.

I hadn't seen the new Sixers (NBA) logo til just now...I love it, so '70s!

What's the point of the security checks at MLB ballparks if someone can just walk into a game with a gun....
