MLB has unveiled their "holiday" jerseys:

      i.jpg

Mothers Day: Jerseys will have team insignia and numbers rendered in pink. Caps will be dark gray with pink team logos and top stitching.

      i (1).jpg

Memorial Day: As has been the case in recent seasons, lettering and numbering on jerseys will be rendered in camouflage. Teams will also wear camouflage caps. The Toronto Blue Jays' camouflage design will be based on a pattern used by the Canadian military.

      i (2).jpg

Father's Day: Jersey lettering and numbering will be shown in blue. Caps will be dark gray with blue logos and accents. This is another MLB first, as teams had previously worn blue ribbons and wristbands on Father's Day.

      i (3).jpg

Independence Day: Jerseys will carry an American flag sleeve patch and feature a star-themed pattern for the lettering and numbering. Caps will be either red or dark gray, with a white front panel carrying a star-based pattern. The Blue Jays' uniform will have maple leafs instead of stars.

      i (5).jpg

ASG: As has been the case in the past, players will wear their regular team jerseys but with an All-Star Game sleeve patch and two gold stars flanking the MLB logo on the back collar. In addition, players' signatures will be printed in gold on the right front shirttail, and will be accompanied by gold stars indicating the player's number of All-Star appearances. Caps will have team-colored crowns with gold-outlined team logos, gray brims, gold star-shaped eyelets, and gold stars flanking the MLB logo on the back.

I love that they're using Columbia blue for the Father's Day promotion.

Yeah, I'm not much for the gimmick uni's (I blame camo for this...). I see the merchandising potential driving this on, but sticking with patches and colored accessories was plenty for special occasions, imo. The ASG ones are ok.

At what point do these kids (guys) look at all the suspensions and realize "Hey, maybe PEDs aren't worth it."

                      Honest discussion:

Do we think that PEDs and steroids are now out of the game?

I feel like it truly is...I think I'm finally seeing baseball players with true abilities versus the 1990s/early 2000s with 40 year old Steve Finleys cranking 40 HRs. I'm sure there are players trying to sneak it or doing it while rehabbing but the penalty for getting caught is a happy medium and pretty severe.

I feel it's not as prevalent, but it's still present. We constantly hear about guys getting ousted and punished, so it's clearly not "out of the game".

Do you think the superstars of today...Trout, Miggy, Stanton, Rizzo & Bryant, Harper, Kershaw, etc...are doing PEDs?

My answer is no...well, 95% sure...I think baseball fans will always have doubt amidst the decades of "deceit".

I want to say no, and I certainly hope not. But we might not find out until the end of their careers, if ever.

                              No way.

The researchers constantly say that the users are ahead of the testing. Always will be.

Baseball has over 1,000 players running around in 30 organizations.

The chances that 1,000 people from different walks in life will have the same opinion on PEDs is basically ignorant. Not being mean to you, just honest.

No matter the guys that get caught, there are guys getting by. Remember that Alex Rodriguez was discovered from a report. He didn't fail a drug test. We can't ignore that.

Guys are passing drug tests, getting paid a lot of money for performance. No way that every individual playing the game has the same conscious or moral code.

Saying all that, I really give zero ****s about PED use. I really don't care. If a guy wants to harm his body for glory and money, his perogative. The game doesn't have feelings. I don't believe in the "sanctity of the game" argument. It's entertainment. It's as basic as that to me.

What teams have the best radio guys? I want to start listening to more games on the radio.

I'm a big fan of Eric Nadel with Texas, I always listen to their games.
