That's actually a pretty sarcastic article that is basically pointing out that he shouldn't be hated the way he is/was.

It all has to do with his attitude while he was here. Yeah, he was great on the field, but the only reason why he came here was because Tom Hicks sold the farm to get him. It became fairly obvious that he wanted to leave as soon as possible because ownership couldn't afford him plus a good team to mold around him. He became a clubhouse cancer and stated publicly that he didn't want to "play with twenty-four kids."

The Rodriguez disaster crippled the club. We couldn't resign or retain the best catcher of our generation, we couldn't sign any new talent, and what we were bringing up wasn't ready until he was winning his one World Series with the yankees (and the burning part is that we were paying him to play in the Bronx for a team we ran up against three times in the 90's). Rodriguez set this team back a decade without question. That's why for me, the image of Feliz striking his *** out in 2010 is the greatest moment in this team's history.

The tightly coiled gift my dog left for the neighbor means more to me than Alex Rodriguez. He can go to hell for all I care.

In my eyes that's owner ships fault for tying their future up in his contract. Of course the Yankees made the same mistake.

Obviously, he's had his problems here too, but I do believe he's turned the corner. He seems to be a great clubhouse guy now. He's always the first guy in the dugout to congratulate a teammate.

But the man has self sabotaged himself so many times, and he's tarnished his legacy. I'm just glad he's having fun now, he just seems loose.

How was that Alex Rodriguez's fault?

Sounds like you should be angry at your favorite team for signing a player they couldn't afford and then having to destroy everything it had.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

That's just sad, but I guess that again speaks more to the ineptitude of your ownership that that's your franchise's greatest moment.

I agree that Hicks (ownership) had a lot to do with it, but Rodriguez should have known that when he was going to eat the lion's share that help would be a long ways away. He was a Prima Donna the entire time and wanted out ant way he could go.

It really doesn't matter now. He'll be remembered as a Yankee and that's what he wanted. Just as long as he doesn't show up at the Ballpark without a scheduled game we don't care either.

Nelson Cruz ruined what would be our greatest moment. I'll hate him forever due to that.

I don't like A-Rod either. I certainly don't "hate" him, I just don't like him... however, all he did to the Rangers was sign the ridiculous contract they they begged him to sign. Any one of you would have done the same and you know it. But yeah, I still don't like him.
