Now I know where "Hip hip, Jorge!" came from.

And whilst everyone else called Jeter captain, Posada probably called him sailor time to time.

I think this guy has mental health issues and is looking for a quick buck.

The only thing I can believe is Strawberry playing drunk.

More than likely. After all, anyone who has the mental capacity to recall anything related to Gerald Williams is clearly farcing.

Though I think Strawberry drinking whiskey during games pretty much went without saying.

                I mean, seriously.

Let's look at a couple here:

Bob Wickman, Jeff Nelson and Mariano Rivera tried to sexually assault him with a baseball bat.
Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada engaged in sexual relations in the clubhouse sauna at the end of their first season with the team. Jeter and Posada then allowed Priore to perform oral sex on them in order to keep him quiet.
...a batboy linked to a bookie regularly placed wagers on sports events for players and employees during game days in the clubhouse using a phone connected to the stadium switchboard, and on at least one occasion players were observed and heard betting on themselves to lose the game they would play that day, which Priore discreetly recorded on audio tape
I don't buy a single bit of it.

Really you don't think Strawberry got drunk during games or batboys forged autographs to make a few bucks? The rest of the stuff I don't believe in 100%. I don't know much about Fielder but it seems plausible same with the betting.

The baseball bat thing sounds like typical clubhouse antics.

Every clubhouse, whether high school or pros has had players jokingly try these things.

I'm sure there are incidents where real damage is done, but this sounds like a playful idea that he either didn't appreciate or misunderstood.

                      Then again, maybe it's real.

For whatever it's worth, a local blogger/reporter-type is claiming that the Tigers have already decided on Ron Gardenhire to replace Ausmus after the season.

He was a really solid guy. I remember watching tape of the '87 World Series and it reminded me of just how good of a pitcher he was.

2016 MLB schedule released. One interesting note I never knew...Padres will be playing their first game in franchise history in Toronto.

How has that never happened before?

Interleague play just started in the 90s, and 2002 I believe was the first year that interleague expanded outside of your respective region (where the NL West would then rotate through the East, Central, West, etc. while playing a local rival every year). I'm guessing the Padres have hosted previously, but this will be the first time doing it the other way around.
