    Re: MLB Off-Topic

That's all fine when it's cut-and-dry. But what about when a player is falsely accused or disagrees and wants to explain their side (and not just with a drug test, but anything else that warrants a suspension)?

What's the difference? If they're guilty, they're going to serve the full suspension anyway.

Like they say - don't like it, bring it up at the bargaining table. It's there and the players will use it because it's their right.

I like Velander but he is wrong on players not playing during the appeal the process. During appeal the whole process hasn't ended, so the desicion isn't final and firm; once the player has been afforded due process under the collective bargain agreement then he should be taken off the field immediately.

The Potomac Nationals and the Lynchburg Hillcats are playing a triple header today due to weather.

I guess they changed it. When I read it, it was stated they were playing a triple header today.

Where does everyone think Lincecum, if anywhere, ends up? I'm very curious to see how he is throwing right now...he really seems to think he got his hip issues fixed with his procedure and that's ready to go. Of course, I wouldn't expect him to say otherwise. I kind of hope he ends up back in San Fran...

I've said a few times on Twitter, sometimes out of anger and sometimes out if hysteria, that I'd like him in Boston. If there's no room in the rotation, he'd be a useful arm out of the pen.

Depends on how much he expects to get paid, and what role he expects to play. I doubt the Giants want to pay him much, especially how much money they already wasted on him.

From what I've heard, he wants to start and the Giants only want him out of the pen. If that's true, then I don't think he goes back to SF.

I don't know where he ends up, but I hope he makes it back. He was always so fun to watch pitch.

Peavy and Cain are making a case that there might be room in the rotation though too.

But yea, he wants to start. Supposed to be about 20 teams at the showcase or whatever they're calling it.

Listening to Bay Area Sports radio, Lincecum just got finish with the Showcase. His Agent said he was going to throw three 20 pitch sessions but he only did two. Maybe there's just some misunderstanding. Velocity from the windup was 88-89 with a couple touching 91. Curveball was sharp and changeup was working too.

He's certainly healthy right now. Let's see who bites.

That velocity is still way down from where he was in his hey-day. I wasn't expecting him to be back in the 95-96 range, but I was hoping he'd be touching 92-93 on a consistent basis.
