Pretty good read from Baseball America. There seems to be a building consensus that baseball will soon be headed to a 32-team configuration and how realignment could affect division outlooks in the future if that happens.

Yea no thanks. They need to scrap the Marlins and Rays since nobody gives a **** about either team. And cut two teams off.

I'm all for anything that would bring the A's here every other year rather than one every six years.

Huge fan of this just because it would create hundreds of more pro/affiliated jobs for players.

On the other hand it'd be a huge change division wise from what I've been used to my entire life. Especially living in Cincinnati, only Pittsburgh would remain (in this scenario). That'd be an interesting change, not really for or against it, plus if Cubs and Reds were different divisions it'd be easier to root for both.

Meh. World Series should be AL vs NL.

I know realignment is coming but that's too drastic.

I can't believe an NL life fan would say this....but I wouldn't be opposed to having DH in the NL be full-time.

Interesting point that I didn't even think of. That proposed realignment would likely mean the the end the pitcher hitting all around. Not sure how I feel about that.

I agree that I'm not sure how I feel.

I love the strategy element that pitchers hitting brings but let's face it - no one pays money to watch pitchers take hacks. I'd rather see both leagues with the DH than see both leagues without it that's for sure.

I've come to accept that pitchers hitting is going away eventually.

It needs to imo sooner then later. There was a time for it, and it’s baseball in its purist form but these guys are to valuable in today’s game. The risk reward is just so not worth it for the nostalgia feel it offers.
