Nice to see Altuve with his 4th straight and Springer with his first.

      Go Astros!

I would've given it to Trout as one of the outfielders if he's eligible.

Goldschmidt over Votto is just nuts.

Goldschmidt did win. But Votto is playing a long gag at the moment.

Also Votto's sense of humor is why I love the player.

I just rid a report that according to Joel Sherman Alex Anthopoulos is "Plan B" if the Braves can't land Dayton Moore. I think that they can't go wrong with either hire. AA would be a great GM in Atlanta in that he knows how to build a farm system mainly through the pitching side and isn't afraid to make big deals or spend money if it's available to use.

Looks like Dayton Moore is definitely out. Bowman says Anthopolous or Jim Hendry. I want no part of Jim Hendry. Not terribly crazy about Anthopolous but he's better than Hendry.

I'd like to get someone from some organizations I envy but I guess that's not gonna happen.
Guess there are no 30s-40s assistant types out there. Though I guess that's the last thing we want after that loser Coppolella. And he was from an organization I envy. Whatever I guess. Bring whoever it is.

EDIT: Joel Sherman says it's AA. Could be announced at GM meetings.

AA is 40...and while not who I expected when this started, I think we could have done a lot worse. I just want to move on from this mess and start focusing on winning games. At least this helps with that a bit...

Oh I know he's young, just talking about some assistant types. Though I guess I don't want anyone that has to have on-the-job training this time too. Whatever we'll see I guess. Considering Hendry, Dan Jennings etc floating around, we're lucky to get AA.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go fantasize about AA pulling one of his typical moves and pulling the trigger on a trade to bring Arenado to Atlanta.

I could not be happier for AA!

As I said in my previous post AA is a great hire in that he's a guy that understands the value of building a farm system and creating a core group. It'll be interesting to see if Braves ownership will open the purse strings a bit for him because he showed in Toronto that once he has more leeway he isn't afraid to spend the money or make some big trades. I've always had a respect for the Braves organization and I will definitely be looking on with keen interest to see how Alex does there. The Braves will definitely be my NL team of choice as long as Anthopoulos is the GM.

They don't need one. They just need a personality guy.

Cashman and his front office will be making the calls.
