I'm not saying it wasn't bad/wrong...but I don't agree that the punishment was appropriate. Everywhere people are saying it was a heavy handed punishment. I thought, at worst, the Braves would have to forfeit the prospects and have some pool money reduced. I guess I was expecting something similar to what Boston got in 2015...

I'm mad at my team for breaking the rules, but I'm also mad at the MLB. Yeah you can set an example of a team who was caught, but as a fan this completely sucks to get punished for what everyone is likely doing just to set an example. Teams like the Braves don't have $200 million to spend on free agents so losing important pieces in the minor league system is bad enough without all the other sanctions.

I'm a Braves season ticket holder, and this has me seriously reconsidering my support of the MLB in 2018.

Nah...if you do that, you'll only be hurting the Braves.

I am actually glad to see them trying to enforce the rules. I know it sucks for the Braves fans but someone always gets caught first. A public hanging is sometimes a good thing to keep everyone in check.

I hope losing a bunch of prospect depth and any hope of bolstering in coming years actually accelerates the "process."

              It's time to roll.

Speaking of rule breaking, Jays investigating after 7 players in their farm system recently got suspended for banned substance.

13 suspensions in farm system the past 2 years. Interesting note, all of the suspended players this year were part of the Dominican Summer League. Perhaps something going on there?

What are the Jays investigating? Seems like that's already been done.

Based on this statement by GM Ross Atkins it looks to be more of an investigation on the internal integrity of the Blue Jays system and the reasons why their players are resorting to PED use.

"This situation is very disappointing and disturbing to the organization; disappointing that the players made these choices, but more so disturbing that some failure of our environment allowed this to happen," said Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins. "It is our responsibility to create an environment and culture where our players know that PED use is not condoned, and to give them resources and education to ensure that they do not make these decisions.

"As we seek to determine both how and why this happened, an internal investigation into the situation remains ongoing, and we will double down on ensuring that all our staff is properly equipped to help our players make the right choices."

                            That's crap.

I wouldn't give up my season tickets.

Now is the time your team needs support the most.
