Nice to see Braves' prospects flourishing/contributing in the AFL. Peoria took the title and Acuna had 4 RBI while Alex Jackson had a couple of hits and an RBI.

I think it's a mix of that and having to face a buzz saw of a team in Peoria. Apparently that was a team that regularly scored A LOT every game. So I would pump the breaks on the worrying just a bit but yeah....From what I saw this evening the Cubs have a bare cupboard when it comes to legit pitching prospects.

I was very impressed by TJ Zeuch as he was clearly fatigued by the longest season of his life. He didn't look very good in the first couple innings but he kept his team in the game and gave them the innings they needed and looked VERY comfortable out there. I especially liked the fact that he rarely registered any emotion, had a repeatable delivery which is hard for a guy of his size and he had composure.

Lourdes Gurriel showed some range in the field with a double play and showed something with his bat as well. Jonathan Davis showed a TON of speed with that triple near the end of the game. According to Jim Callis he profiles to be a 4th outfielder type and had been very consistent throughout the AFL season. One thing is for sure, the guy has speed up the wazoo and that's something the Jays badly need.

The other Jays pitcher that saw action was Scott Case who looked okay, nothing really jumped out at me about him.

Reading all of these reports Shohei might not come over this year is reminding me of when they negotiated the CBA deal last year, and the first thing I said was they were sacrificing future members of the union to appease current members. Cut to a year later and they want to change it. What a bunch of bull****. They better figure this out.

Was the posting system dates agreed on by the MLB and NPB or whoever negotiated last year? Because that’s the issue here nothing between the players and owners, from what I have heard/read.

I do like Kansas City's. May have to pick that up this spring.

Apparently it's the style "C" the Red Stockings of 1869 wore.

I think I've bought a new A's cap every spring for the last three years. This year doesn't look to change that. Loving the throwback to the Philadelphia font.
