Wow...That's pretty crazy, sounds like Tropicana Field people are already looking into hiring new concessionaires.

Yeah definitely a crazy story. Sounds like the Rays had no idea.

The question that elicited the "prick" comment wasn't warranted IMO but the answer about his poor play in RF was ridiculous. I'm sure the reporter wasn't thinking Sabrmetrics when he asked it.

Hopefully for the Twins sake this isn't a bad omen.

Agree or disagree with the man's views (I certainly don't agree with Torii's views), what would make anyone think that this press conference was an appropriate time for a question like that?

Apparently this is the same reporter who called Ron Gardenhire's home after he was fired to get a quote from his wife. Real classy guy...

Yeah it doesn't take advanced analytics to know Torii has become a major liability defensively. I'm curious to see how his bat holds up in Minny without the protection he had in Detroit. I'd much rather see what Steven Moya can do in the same situation, both at the plate and in the field.

Or he could just let the fans vote for him and get his voting privileges revoked...

Jayson Werth sentenced to 10 days in jail for reckless driving back in July. Was going 105mph in a 55mph zone.

Hey all–just a friendly reminder from your local fantasy sports admin that if you wanted to send in an application for our inaugural 700 Level Fantasy Football League, tomorrow night is the deadline to do so. In case you’ve forgotten (or if you missed the original post and are too lazy to search for it), the e-mail to apply to is…

Some places if you go over X amount over the speed limit then it's an automatic trip to jail.

In AZ if your 30 mph over the speed limit they charge you with a misdemeanor. In Werth's case he was charged with reckless driving which is jail time in most states anyways.
