Love it. The entire proposal sounds potentially pretty big for the area as well. Hope this goes through.

It's just another mock-up and proposal. Been there so many times before. I doubt I can get excited anymore till a shovel is in the ground.

So, the only way the plan is financially sound is if the A's buy out the Coliseum site, make money off of that via building a mini sports park/center there and having it be profitable, alongside the new waterfront A's stadium not losing too much money overall.

Sounds like about 100 miles of red tape and "approvals."

The way you put it, this sounds like a pipe dream. I can't see this stadium being built.

I saw this on another forum and am curious of what you guys think:

                        - The DH becomes the standard for ALL of MLB, except the one change is that once the starting pitcher is removed you lose your DH and must let the pitcher bat or pinch hit for him.

Thoughts? I've never been a DH guy, but that would be an intriguing rule that would create a little bit of strategy in terms of when to relieve a starting pitcher.
A team with a DH like Edgar Martinez or David Ortiz has to decide if they double switch and put them in the field to keep their bat in the lineup. It's interesting at least...

It would also combat some of the bullpenning we've seen lately. It's an intriguing idea at the very least.

Oooh...that's interesting...it's makes me think it's the little league version of making everybody get in the game.

I do think the DH should be in the NL now. With interleague not going away and how inept pitchers are at hitting, I'd rather see a hitter up there than a pitcher.

Is there a reason we want to "combat" bullpenning?

As a method of strategy probably not but for the aesthetics of the game I'd like to see starters go deeper or at least the status quo before bullpenning became a thing.

It's not a huge problem in my mind but it's a preference on my part.
