Re: MLB Off-Topic
Y'see I disagree here with some of y'alls thinking.
I think that Murray should go for MLB if he's offered $15MM. The injury risk, expectations, etc...not nearly as high as the NFL would be in my mind. If I had the skill set he does, baseball is SUBSTANTIALLY safer and has a higher potential of total $$ earned.
That said...it truly is according to his desire and where he wants to play. If he's playing baseball just to get $$, that will show - vice versa if he's playing football just for the $$.
The risks is baseball aren't as bad, but there are still risks. Football has gotten exponentially safer for QBs, but he is really small.
Baseball is such a crapshoot for success, and I think he's too small to have a long NFL career as a QB. If it was me, I'd go to the NFL, play out my rookie contract or as much of it as I can. If it works, great, if not I go back and try baseball again like so many others have (though not with much success).

It'll probably be ugly.
Just go back to the Away Grays. Home whites. Away grays. Red alternates. Cream alternates.
No redesign. Hopefully not, anyway.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Yeah I can agree with that. $15M is a pretty significant sum and is at least in the same ballpark as what he could get on his rookie contract.

Honestly, the Braves have one of the most iconic uniforms in the game. Why mess with a good thing? Like I said an alternate uniform using the '74 home template would be enough change and one i'd be okay with
Hopefully this "refresh" doesn't mean the stupid "A with tomahawk" logo is all over the place. I detest that logo.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I think the injury risk in football is severe, quarterback or not.
But if you can get enough guaranteed money, he would be starting from day one, be in the spotlight, and be marketable from the first moment he steps on a field. Even if he busts, he would have 3 years of Fame and guaranteed money.
In baseball, he will need to bus it for how many years? He needs to prove he's worth a promotion at several stops. He could bust and never see more than the $15 mm he signs for.
There's a reason he wants to be on the 40-man and paid that much. If he goes baseball and fails, he wants to make sure he has enough career left to go back to the NFL.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I think Kyler Murray has a much better shot at being impactful in the NFL. Dude's carrying skill set is being fast. You don't get as much mileage out of that in MLB as you do in football.
