Imagine how good of a start to building for the future the Mets could’ve had for themselves if they would’ve unloaded DeGrom and Syndergaard over the offseason or DeGrom last Trade deadline and whatever else that they had with significant value along with keeping the prospects they gave up for Diaz instead of making a desperate attempt to contend.

Not trying to bring up the discussion at all again, by all means please let this fly right by. It's actually for a different purpose, anyway.

I'm going to change my attitude with extended safety nets only slightly because I'm forgetting how yoked the baseballs are these days. Though, this is yet another reason the balls should be changed back to how they were.

They don’t care. They are throwing plans out with so many holes that it doesn’t make sense. Sternburg knows the city will not build him a stadium here to be used part time and open roof. An open roof stadium will draw less the the Trop during the summer.

I honestly think Sternburg is taking on the villain role to turn fans off so that he can do what he really wants to do and that’s move the team....

Update on the little girl hit by a foul ball in Houston.

The 2-year-old girl injured by a foul ball last month at Houston's Minute Maid Park suffered a skull fracture and had a seizure, a spokesperson for the family said in a release issued Wednesday. Her recovery process will be reassessed in July.

I'm going with Majingir on this one. This is completely out of nowhere. Wouldn't you celebrate a 50th anniversary closer to the start of the season or at least announce it in April instead of picking some random date in June to announce you're celebrating it in July? Seems like they want to make sure the franchise has a claim to logo/trademark rights associated with the Expos but I admit I have no idea how trademarks work for MLB.

They already have the claim to all the Expos rights including team history.

Playing with their jerseys now isn't needed to shore up something they already have and it's never sounded like they are willing to give it up.

I'm so exhausted with this All-Star voting campaign bull****. Every single post on social media, all over Quick Pitch, like OK man...vote, don't vote, who gives a hoot. None of it matters especially with the dumb *** system they have in place.

                      So glad it's almost over.

Man what a horrific injury. I hope she'll recover fully, but it doesn't sound good.

Very interesting point from the article:

Since 1913, every ticket to a major league game has included a disclaimer saying the holder of the ticket assumes all the risks inherent to the game. Called the "Baseball Rule," it has made it nearly impossible for fans injured at games to successfully sue teams or MLB.

Interesting read on the scope of injuries caused by foul balls. Over 2,000 deaths. Yikes.

Pittsburgh is extending their nets all the way to the foul pole.
