I remember watching that live. When he tackled that guy, it instantly made me want a batter to charge me so I could try to do the same thing.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It will be a sad day if/when that happens.
There is a way to get the MLBPA behind it, force teams to spend more money. That way they don't care about losing 1 player, the salary increase would cover that and it would overall increase spending.

              Hearing something like this:
              http://www.tsn.ca/police-fan-arreste...-game-1.277153

MIGHT make you start to think of MLBs security check stuff abit differently. All it'd take is 1 incident to have leagues making drastic security changes. Who knows what would've happened had that guy used it(if he even brought it with him cause he planned on using it)

Hmm, interesting. He has a permit to carry it, but obviously the laws of the arena supersede that.

Sporting event security sucks. Any large event security seems to suck, actually. It's moderately surprising that small attacks don't happen more often at any large gathering of the public. It only takes one crazy person.

Major events at least security is tight enough to probably prevent anything like that

But still surprising how nothing real bad has ever happened at any pro sports game. Considering all the crazy stories you hear from stuff happening all over, guess people should be so thankful it hasn't happened in a big venue like a pro sports game to fans or players.

I know mentioning that will get this "off topic" thread too off topic,so we should just end it there.

So why did you bring it up in the first place?

Knowing that it was a conversation that can't be discussed is pretty much trolling if you want to bring it up knowing it can't be discussed.

Anyone see the video of Jarrod Parker's wild pitch last night?... Ouch.

Feel bad for him, I like him as a pitcher.

I want to see the video...but then again, I'm afraid it may be like Kevin Ware breaking his leg in the NCAA tourney and I really didn't want to see the replay after all.

I just watched the video, but don't know if there's a replay. Nothing really to see in terms of the injury itself, however watching somebody rolling on the floor writhing in pain like that isn't easy to watch in itself.

The Kevin Ware one was gruesome, but it never fazed me. I still have a nice gory photo saved on my computer that I like to show unsuspecting people of how bad an injury could look. I'm just glad that Ware recovered from his injury, but something like what Parker went through (given the position that he plays) is a bit more worrisome, which of course goes back to how tolerant somebody might be watching someone go down like that, no matter how discrete the video is with the injury itself.
