Re: 3/30 - 4/6 Game Discussion Thread
Just saw what happened to Don Baylor. That was brutal and unsettling to watch. The femur is the strongest, thickest bone in the body......breaking that on something as routine as that is very unnerving.Comment

Re: 3/30 - 4/6 Game Discussion Thread
I saw the video earlier, and had read early reports that said both knee and ankle. That's ****ing terrible. I don't even know.
The fact that he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2003 and is a survivor of it is an amazing fact in itself. Agreed, please just be a freak accident.
I woke Mel up to talk to her about it... her best educated guess is that there's almost no way that it's not related. It doesn't spell doom for him or anything, it's just that the cancer does cause bone weakness and potential for fracture in the hip and back areas (more commonly) from minor stress/injuries. Also, hearing about the treatment they go through is just ridiculous. Yugh.Last edited by ubernoob; 03-31-2014, 11:59 PM.badComment

Just saw it myself and it was pretty disturbing to watch. That bone just shouldn't break so easily. Very disheartening and hopefully he'll be alright.Comment
