Yeah the Cards are no longer owned by AB but the stadium has never changed names and it will not since it is coming to an end after next year. Also right on the stadium being named after the owner. Now while there was no direct ties at first it was his money from the beer company that led to the purchase of the team.

That makes more economic sense. So 5 mil per. Now the true question is will he reinvest that into the team? Seeing as how thay have come out of the gate this year could he possibly be thinking that he could use some of that money to bring in a good trade prospect and give tha fans another reason to spend money to come to the games. Would be nice but I dont see it happening

I'm not a big name of selling stadium naming rights, but I think if it is done right it's ok. If an area business provides the money and buys the name it makes a hell of a lot more sense than just some random company. Miller Park, Busch Stadium, Wrigley Field, Fenway Park are all examples of this.
