He doesnt have nearly the amount of pressure on him now, especially not like the NY media. He can just relaz and play his game. He might give up some runs here and there but if he continues to throw strikes like he is doing then he will be a consistent closer. Thats been the problem w the last couple of marlin closers like looper and alfonseca. they couldnt throw strikes. Anyways go armando. welcome to miami

I wouldnt recommend going to the game monday cuz they are giving out rings again and its going to be an all out brawl.

We'll be ok, my girlfriend and I get there really early to see batting practice. We've gotten two of the giveaways without problems so far, hopefully we'll be ok getting the rings too.

Have you seen the Marlins attendance this season? It's not the best in the league but we are MUCH improved over years past. I've seen way more empty seats at some of the road games the Marlins have played than when they've been at home.

Bleh, I'm sick of all this talk about the Marlins.

They are a blessed team for some reason. Everyone who goes there suddenly revives their career, or begins to play much better than they ever have before. Last year, they made Jeff Conine play like he did 9-10 years ago, and now Benitez looks like Rivera.

I'm so sick of this. Will they get one guy who doesn't play 100% over his head?

Maybe you have to give credit to Jack McKeon and the coaching staff for that. I know that Wayne Rosenthal (Marlins pitching coach) has worked with all our pitchers to get them to fix their mechanics and throw more strikes. He got Dontrelle Willis to make his weird delivery a bit smoother and this season he's been great again. Bill Robinson (our hitting coach) has also been working with new players to get their swinging mechanics on par. Look at what he did with Hee Seop Choi.
