    Not Victor...he's not eligible.

AL is Bobby Crosby hands down. If Justin Morneau didn't get called up so late, he'd be in the running.

NL is tough. The Pads record, combined with Greene's defense, make him hard to argue against, but you have to go with Jason Bay. His numbers are just too good to overlook.

Bay is playing in a rebuilding team with little talent around him. True he's not in a pressure situation but it's not like Greene is playing in New York. Plus, even though the Padres are in the playoff hunt it's not like Greene is carring the team. They have a lot of vetrans on that team who know how things work Nevin, Klesko, Giles and all.
Again, you obviously haven't seen Greene play. There was a time when he was carrying this team. He had a two week stretch where he was winning games with not only his glove, but his bat as well. And please don't say Ryan Klesko and his 7 home runs are helping this team at all.

Maybe not offensively but I'm sure Klesko can help him learn. He's a veteran and been around the league and maybe can provide something to Greene that helps him. I'm just saying that Greene is not a one man show and shouldn't expected to one as a rookie but he does have a little more around him.

Well it's going to be a real close race as both players really deserve it. Going to be great no matter who wins.

Bay will win it hands down since Khalil is out for the rest of the season.

Yea it looks like Bay just became the major front-runner for ROY. It's a shame because you don't want to see someone win like this but it will still be nice to see Bay get something for his great first season

My thoughts exactly. Although I want Bay to win it since he's a Pirate and it'll be the Pirates first ROY, I hate to see it happen this way. It's just not right.

Overall if you look at it, both guys had great years, Bay has been strong even with a nagging injury. Greene has played more like a veteran as opposed to a rookie this year. Bay is putting up numbers expected from LF'ers while Greene was breaking Padres singled season SS records in almost every offensive category.

This is what I like, not an argument between which two should win it when both are playing their best. But since Khalil got injured it definitly hurt his chances of winning the award.

I thought Greene has the ROTY locked up with his defense, his hitting and also being clutch at times. But the injury is going to hurt him I believe also, but even more so now that he's done for the year.
