That's what happens when you have a manager that is garbage at managing his bullpen. Should have brought Chapman in from the on set.

Sad thing is, the manager is a former pitching coach. He SHOULD know how to manage a bullpen at the very least.

Lance McCullers pitched a complete game, allowing 1 run on 4 hits with 11 Ks. Astros win 3-1 and are 34-20 which is the best record in club history through 54 games.

          Holy cow @ our bullpen.

John Smoltz needs to unretire and fix this mess.

So Keuchel won AL Pitcher of the Month for April and May? I thought what he did in April was "not sustainable".

So the Mariners traded for a fly ball hitter that already makes an out in more than 70% of his plate appearances and puts him in that ballpark. Okay.

It wasn't. He was still good in May, but his April was much better.

Joey Gallo just launched a 2nd deck homer.

Is there a chance that Adrian Beltre may be Wally Pipped and never see 3B again?

I wouldn't be surprised, but who knows.

Normally when everyone on a team is playing over their heads at once, that team will go into a free fall once those players start to go into slumps and cool off. Most of the time in that same season. Even if by some miracle they win 90 games I wouldn't bet on them winning more than 75-80 the next season.

That's easy enough to see just by the fact that he lost a game. He was still voted the best pitcher in the AL though so the results were the same.

Wasn't Mark Trumbo supposed to be good or something? 2012 Trumbo,Trout,Pujols all lighting it up for Angels, looking like they'd have some sort of huge dominant top part of batting lineup in the league for years to come.
