The plan is to send Gallo back down once Beltre is back, but if he keeps this up those plans might change.

Braves are looking for bullpen help, but are reluctant to give up any pieces to get some good relievers according to reports.

If we're talking about young sluggers with strikeout issues, Joey Gallo will be an interesting test case of how productive a hitter can be while striking out as much as humanly possible.

The guy has big-time power, but I hope the contact issues don't turn him into a more athletic Mark Reynolds.

In his last 4 starts,Mark Buehrle has pitched 3 complete games!

If I were Jays,I'd really consider trading Mark Buehrle by the deadline. Expiring contract,so I doubt he'd resign with Jays. A veteran player who could really help out some team making a playoff push.

As a RedSox fan, I'll believe it when I see it. The same thing was almost said for Rodriguez. Was going to come up face Texas last week and the next day go back to wherever Pawtucket was playing. But now he has thrown 2 straight QS. And is arguably their best pitcher right now.

In The Show I sent away some middle infield prospects and prospects behind the plate to nab some relievers. It should work in real life, right?

Absolutely zero. Beltre is a first ballot Hall of Famer who still plays defense at a high level. He also happens to be making 16 million dollars this year. So yeah, not gonna happen.

A couple photos from the Tuesday night Reds @ Phillies game. It rained the entire game, but they got it in. Fun game - Phillies tied it with a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 8th. Pap came in for the top of the 9th and made the top of the Reds order look foolish. Then the Phils won on a walk-off bloop single.

Given how ridiculously lucky the Dodgers were yesterday, I can't complain. At least Joc went deep again.

BTW - are we ever going to see Puig play baseball again?

Ehh I think what you see is what you get with Trumbo, he was a nice surprise, and with power at at a premium, he got a little more hype then he needed, his obp, and average have always been uninspiring, his power is his gift, of course he got hurt in Arizona, but he's clocked 9 homers this year, but things are gonna get much tougher in Seattle.

He's still vaunted though, because he's young and he has the potential for a bust out year, I could see him hit 40, but not at Safeco.
