Re: 6/1 - 6/14 Game Discussion Thread
I would like to take credit for Atlanta's win this afternoon.
Today is the first time I wore my authentic Smoltz jersey.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

@LowerWolf:
I agree...we shed all this payroll and to me, we're more competitive than we were last year. I've been preaching for the past 2 years that strikeouts are worthless and it looks like GM Hart believes the same thing -- certainly he got guys that can get on base but more so, guys that put the ball in play. I think while being an analyst at MLB tonight got him annoyed at the increased strikeout totals. I was iffy on his offseason but I'm fully onboard with the direction he's taken. Really does prove Frank Wren doesn't deserve a shred of a chance to be an executive again.
I love looking at a box score and see we won a game with 5-6 runs without a HR or only 1 XBH. It shows the entire team is on the act. Our bullpen is certainly shaky but I still think that's the "easiest" thing to fix being our SPs are pitching fairly well, the lineup is good and our bench is great.
One additional quick point...our defense up the middle is really good with Simmons/Peterson and Maybin; Flores's bobble is the difference between a win and loss...glad we don't have to worry about that part.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

He is THE reason we're in the position we're in...I don't think anybody expected this type of production from Maybin. If I'm not mistakened, he's 2nd in the league in RISP; guy is coming up clutch and getting great pitches to hit in front of Freddie.

Now only if the Mariners were to follow suit and call up Ketel Marte, doubt it happens, would be nice if DJ Peterson wasn't completely sucking at AAA.Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

Re: 6/1 - 6/14 Game Discussion Thread
Sano is still in AA. I won't pretend to know anything about scouting prospects, haha. But from what I've read/heard, Buxton was always going to be up before Sano.
Earliest I'd expect him would be a late summer call up. But probably more likely next year.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Re: 6/1 - 6/14 Game Discussion Thread
No it was supposed the other way around Sano up first then Buxton. But Sano lost all of the 2014 season due to TJ surgery. And MLB.com has his ETA as next year (2016). But that could change because they gave Buxton and Gallo a 16 ETAs as well.Comment

So the Red Sox stopper is on the mound today. Eddy Rodriguez. Will probably watch the game until he gets pulled and then find something else to watch.Comment

If the game was shorter like 2 hours 15 minutes to 2.5 hours max I would watch more games. I can't commit myself to over 3 hours to watch a game.Comment
