Gotta give Gallardo props on shutting down the Jays lineup today. Matt Boyd had a decent debut though HRs were a problem. I thought he was being squeezed a bit by the home plate umpire but overall not a bad start for the kid.

This doesn't happen nearly as often as it did in previous years. You got to give props to Gallardo. He's been pretty hot lately and remember, the last time the Jays got shut out the offense started cranking out runs on a daily basis.

Speaking of A's unis. They're wearing '65 Kansas City throwbacks today. Vogt looks like he belongs in them.

So Teheran looks like he's back to being bad and this Braves team doesn't really look like they're getting better as the year goes on, they're getting worse. Hard to stay excited about the future when that's the case.

1. Hamate bone injuries are the worst. Some guys lose their power for almost 2 seasons because of it.

2. Those KC A's uniforms are BEAUTIFUL.

A pitcher for the Astros threw at A-Rod and got tossed after getting shelled in the first two innings.

The Astros sent him down to Triple A immediately after the game.
