Ryne Sandberg has just announced he is stepping down as manager of the Phillies. Wow.

He would have been fired as soon as Andy McPhail got there anyways.

Most likely. I just want this organization to get back to their winning ways. Can't happen until this front office is cleaned up and a better GM is at the helm.

What are the odds on fisticuffs in Oakland this series?

It might start tonight, intentional or not. Jesse Hahn has hit the 2nd most batters in the AL this year & Edinson Volquez hit 14 last year.

I don't want Oakland getting caught up in any BS again. They're playing great ball and they don't need to play games that result in stupid suspensions derailing the progress.

The only field I think is more beautiful than Oakland is Minnesota's. The grass is just amazing when viewing games on my TV.

...well, at least until football season starts.

Speedy, I'm glad somebody outside Oakland fans notices there's at least one good thing about the Coliseum. According to Ray Fosse, who talks about the field & grounds crew quite a bit, the players rave about it too.

I've never been down but they let fans on the field for the fireworks show that they hold 4-5 times a year.

If Kevin Pillar doesn't get a Gold Glove i'll be PO'ed almost every night the guy makes a dazzling play.

Oh, and the Jays are currently beating the crap out of Texas 9-2.

The Braves lack of a LHP who is effective against LHB out of the pen is such a huge weakness. Avilan just sucks so hard against them...

It's a shame Labatt's doesn't have a stake in the Jays anymore. I'd so call this squad the Labatt's Blue Wrecking Crew.

Oh well, another great offensive display. I really hope they wear those white panel hats on Sunday. (They're giving away white panel hats that day) The broadcast team has been lobbying hard for the Jays to wear em.

I hope someone gets hit. Aside from Herrera i dont care if its one of our guys or an A that hits someone. I dont want them to get hurt. But that first series was entertaining as hell.
