Chris Colabello has to be a huge candidate for Comeback Player of the Year.

According to ESPNs ESPYs, that distinction goes to A-Rod lol

In the 24 games since Juan Uribe has been traded, Turner has started 14 games at 3B versus Callaspo's 10. No, Justin Turner isn't going to keep hitting like Mike Trout, but even if he profiles as above-average rather than best hitter in baseball going forward, that's still worth starting every day instead of Alberto Callaspo.

I agree that with Olivera coming up, Turner becomes something of an expendable piece and ultimately gets traded near the deadline. You can't have Carlos Frias or Mike Bolsinger start a playoff game.
I would trade Guerrero before I would trade Turner. Even as a non starter, Turner is a solid bench player.

Doesn't a player actually have to have a MLB career before he comes back from something interrupting it?

Guerrero's contract makes him very hard to trade because he has an opt-out provision.

The Dodgers have a ridiculously deep offense, but trading the spare parts isn't easy. Ethier and Crawford have negative trade value because of the bad contracts. Van Slyke is important for platooning purposes because the former two can't hit lefties. And it looks like the Dodgers think Olivera is the long-term answer at 3B.

That leaves Turner and I think we'll flip him for a Jeff Samardzija-type arm.

He was having a pretty good season early on last year with the Twins but then he screwed up his thumb IIRC.

                      You're probably right though.

He had a hot start but had come down to Earth considerably if I remember right. But in any case, he had 401 career PAs coming into this year. Kind of puts him out of the running for me.

Stanton HR #27, pretty much a line drive to deep CF of Marlins Park. This guy is just insane, shame the rotation has been banged up and the bullpen sucked.

Puig sitting tonight with some kind of hand injury. He's in the dugout though.

It looked like he ripped a callus or something in the 1st inning last night. He kept messing with it and had his hand wrapped when he went into the field.

It's one of those games in Texas already. Hopefully it stays lopsided but chances are probably not.
