    Pedro..................

Only the Cardinals can make a split feel like a 4 game sweep. I hate them

That game was the definition of life as a Cubs fan.

Another late win for the Pirates. The series coming up against the Cardinals will be huge. They need at least a split.

Good job Jays...lets lose yet another 4 game series vs a last place team in a division. No big deal, not like you're in a playoff race or anything.

Good teams don't go 2-8 over a 10 game stretch. I hate that they're a fraud, considering the one thing I want to see the most in sports or anything else is them winning a World Series. I hate that they don't give themselves a chance to deliver on that.

Even good teams have bad stretches. Both KC and Pittsburgh have went 2-8 over 10 games.

The Phillies clinched the division in 2011 and then proceeded to lose 8 straight after clinching. It is possible to have bad stretches as a good team.

Yep look at the 2011 WC races in both leagues...the Sox were up by like 9 games in September and missed the playoffs. Also the Braves were up like 7 or 8 games on second place and missed the playoffs as well.

How can an umpire not admit the ball hit him? How can every other umpire on the field not see it? And worse, how is that not a reviewable play to get it right? Isn't that the whole point?

The system is so ridiculously flawed. These umps need after game press conferences and own their mistakes.

Edit: I guess it doesn't matter if it hits an ump if its already past a fielder? I'd never heard that rule before.

Welp, looks like the Jays drop the series against the ChiSox and now they're going to KC.

The Pan Am games trip may be the dagger in the Jays' season unless a miracle happens and they sweep KC.

Yea it's the same thing with interference on a runner. Like the infield is pulled in guy hits a shot past the fielder then hits a runner he isn't out because it's passed a fielder.

Yesterday, Jays score 6 runs. Lost the game.
Today, Jays allow 2 runs. Lost the game.

They've also lost 6 of 8 games vs last place teams in a division in the past 2 weeks.

                                That's the Toronto way.
