Zack Greinke is the first pitcher since 1968 to have a sub-1.40 ERA at the All-Star Break. He's allowed 20 runs (not earned runs, total runs) in 18 starts.

I know ERA and RA/9 aren't the greatest evaluative tools, but this is a special run he's on.

How do you get 17 hits and have 7 multi hit innings and only score 4 runs? That's hard to do.

Also, the Jake Brigham story was nice, but there is a reason he was in the minors for 9 years...send him back.

This made me laugh.

IDK why Wood didn't come out...I don't mind protecting our starters every now and then though.

We are scoring less than 3 runs a game since The Fred went on the DL.

Pretty much a stone cold lock that the #1 draft pick next year is the Phillies. 30 games under .500 now. Ugh. Next loss will be the 60th of the season before the All-Star break. In the 102 win season in 2011, the Phillies didn't lose their 60th game until late September. I miss the good old days.

Please clean this place up MacPhail. Amaro has to go and now.

I was only joking about being out for the season. But it is more than likely he is done for the season. And this is why you trade him while he is hot. The HR he gave up to A-Rod was the first he had given up in like 62 innings or something like that. He isn't this dominant. This was bound to happen or he was going to regress. Now I'm hoping they don't go out and overspend on a true ace ala Cueto or Zimmerman. I still don't want Hamels. He sucks in the AL East.

He wasn't a throw in. I think him an d'arnaud were the main pieces, everything else might have been throw ins.

Hated that trade before it was even official, even with all the hype from Jays after that Marlins deal, I didn't feel like that trade would've been worth it at all. Giving up the 2 top players in your farm system for an old pitcher like that? Top 2 prospects in most teams farm systems could get you a real good pitcher in his mid-late 20s.
