Well I've been complaining. Still don't like the timer at all. Want it gone. Loving the head-to-head aspect though.

      I'm loving this new format.

Tuning in late, but I'm liking this simply because they actually have to swing instead of taking pitch after pitch.

I'm with you, not sure I like the shot clock aspect but, the head to head is awesome. And I love Rob Manfred being open to new ideas.

Which is huge...it wasn't fun sitting there watching a guy take pitch after pitch. The pace is so much better.

Who knew putting the ball in play was so much more exciting than watching them stand there and take walks?

And these high HR numbers they're putting up just proves how pointless it was to watch pitch after pitch after pitch. Agreed this is much better

I think they hit on something really nice here with the head-to-head format, and it helps the format go over that the hitters are absolutely mashing in the 1st round so far, but I just think there are better ways to make it a bit more brisk. Calling 2 takes in a row an out and giving them fewer than 10 outs would be my plan. That way it's faster than it was, but there's no penalty for hitting massive homers and having them hang up there. If guys get on ridiculous runs, they don't have it artificially cut short either by a buzzer. There'd be no dumb timeout needed and 30 second bonus periods either.
