No, that's not how TV rights work. It is a national game but it will be blacked out on ESPN here and in LA. ESPN can't take games from the local network with the exception of Sunday night. Tonight's game here is on ROOT.

I think some games can air on both networks, the national and local. I have seen it with some Red Sox games before. I think some of the Red Sox- Yankees games have been on both networks at the same time. And it said in the ad at the end SC in LA market and nothing about the PIT market. And usually it will say SC in LA & PIT markets.

The only time you would have seen that is if there was a no hitter going or a milestone event. It's a big no no per the local TV agreements.

Nope it was just a regular game, but next time I see it happen I will post about it. It was a Wednesday night game between the Sox and Yankees at Fenway, I think.

Good pitchers' duel going on in the Bronx but man, that Texeira "HR" was crap.

That was a homer. I'm sure the umps in Manhattan are better at judgement calls than both of us.

I'm just glad to see Eovaldi go past 5 innings.

You're probably right but it looked to me like that fan reached in.

This has been a great game though!

I just saw that, apparently McCann wasn't thrilled about Iglesias' lack of hustle.

                            Heading into tonight...
Jays have averaged 5.7 runs in past 10 games.
Yankees have averaged 7.4 runs in past 14 games.

So naturally, it ends up a 2-1 game in extras lol. Thankfully Jays came up on winning side, cause a loss like that stings alot when you realize how good each teams offense has been all season, but more specifically the past 2 weeks.
