It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Greinke and Kershaw take the mound...Walgreens doesn't score a run.

Again, there was no reason to panic over a small losing streak.

We sort of have the same problem understanding the whole curling thang.

Curling isnt as popular in Canada as Americans make it out to be. I think they just exaggerate it cause its unpopular in usa but Canada is best country at it. I dont even think its as popular in canada as tennis or nascar(which is another thing i think is primarily an american specifically sport) is in usa.

Hockey on other hand is basically to Canada what football is to usa. But even then, its popularity here seems to be exaggerated

Doesn't this partially explain why USA is more interested in college sports than Canada?

Plus I mean, how many colleges are there in Canada that produce pro athletes? That's an honest question because a lot of the fanhood in the states on the college level stems from regional fanhood in seeing athletes that are one level from being pros in the near future. It doesn't seem like most pro hockey players come from college hockey, and when they do, they come from US universities

The Dodgers are supposed to win when Greinke/Kershaw start...it's what happens when they don't start that should have Dodger fans worried, IMO.

Are Alex Wood and Brett Anderson secretly pumpkins and I'm just not catching on? It's the non-Jansen bullpen getting involved that has me concerned.

Bottom line: we have flaws that will be exploited in October, but I wasn't concerned about our tiny losing streak entering Tuesday because Greinke and Kershaw were set to take the mound.

Sonny Gray scratched from start today.
When he realized he was facing the Jays,he's probably like:

Cause in Canada it's not about college level hockey, they go to a league like the WHL,OHL,QMJHL and stuff. That's why when you hear someone drafted and they're from Canada, you hear them call him from a junior league team. But even then, those leagues aren't anywhere close to as popular as college sports is in USA.

Yea. The top pitcher in the league was afraid.....

Actually, Susan Slusser said that because the players were saying how despite the new turf and the field still feels like concrete they didn't want to test his back because of the spasms he's having. He will likely pitch in a day or two when they are back on grass.

Either way, Jays are resting Tulo and Martin. Even though they had Monday off, and will have next monday off as well, and next thursday off too lol.

Jays having their 1,4,6 hitters all resting today, getting ready to face Yankees this weekend!

Dunno how this excuse gets trotted out there all the time. The turf has been said to be much softer and easier on the legs by Jays players. Granted, it's taken a bit of a pounding at this point in the year but I just can't see turf suddenly going from "a lot better than last year" to "concrete" in less than a season. A full season or two yes, before the close of the first season no. I think some of this is just mental on the opposing teams' part.

Either way, nice break for the Jays considering they're resting the 1, 4, 6 hitters.

Wow! Bases loaded,0 outs after 2 missed pop flies by jays cause of bright sun at unusual 1237 start! Get double play and then pennington in first start makes barehanded play off of deflection and walk out of inning with no runs allowed!
