Owens is eh to me...If it was Rodriguez, hell yes. I don't think Owens is going to be a #3 at best where I think E-Rod could become an ace.

Come on Braves, let's get a few more runs for Shelby.

Haren didn't miss too many barrels today. 3 solo shots given up and a couple more warning track fly balls.

Imagine what Sale's numbers would look like if he didn't pitch in a bandbox in the DH league and had a professional defense behind him.

I still can't figure out how he hasn't gotten injured yet. This is why looking at pitching deliveries and trying to guess injury risk is so tough. I bet you could have asked 10 pitching gurus about Sale's mechanics before he made the majors, and 9 of them would have guessed he'd blow out his elbow or shoulder within 5 years.

            But he's still going strong.

I'm betting right now Ike Davis will be on the mound before this A's O's game is over.

Miller loses his no-hitter in the 8th, and unless the bullpen can work a miracle he'll go winless again.

Edit: The streak reaches 16 winless starts.

At least he's not Donn Roach?

I'd say so. After finally allowing a hit, he strikes Bryant out on 98, hits Rizzo in the shoulder with high 90s, and finishes off Soler with a backdoor breaking ball 3 inches off the plate after he'd already hit 99 mph 3 times in the AB. The Cubs winning streak relies solely on Sale's pitch count getting him out of the game at this point. No chance they score 3+ against this guy.

Good win by the Jays to at least take a game in the series. Let's see how they do on this road trip.

Well at least the Marlins finally got a lead against St. Louis. A consolation for watching Chris Sale dominate the Cubs, lol

That's now 13 Ks through 6.1 for Sale...20 is still possible.

                      EDIT: That's 14, now...probably won't hit 20 due to pitch count.

EDIT EDIT: After striking out the side in the 7th, that's 15 for Sale.

At least Sale is helping my fantasy team.

Maaan....Sale is amazing. The crazy thing is, I think he's kind of underrated. You don't hear nearly as much about him as you should.

Both Caleb Joseph and Gerardo Parra are a triple shy of the cycle...not sure what I'd do if they both got it in the same game lol

If he buzzsaws through the final 6 Cubs of the game and gets to 21 Ks, everyone will be hearing a lot more about him. Problem is he's made 115 pitches through 7 innings. Even if he strikes out all 6 batters on 3 pitches each, it would be a 133-pitch workload--right on the edge of plausibility.
