Jays-Angels series tonight! After disappointing series with Phillies where they split a 2 game series, Jays better bounce back cause this is one of the important series they play to close out season.

Worst case scenario after this series is a tie with LAA for the 1st WC(and just .5 games ahead of O's). Best case scenario is 6 game lead on them(and O's/Rangers both don't gain any ground either)

Cleveland,Minnesota,Detroit are the other 3 teams I'm hoping to see win this weekend.

Ok...continuing on my announcers rant. Watching the Rays/Stros last night, I noticed the Astros color guy almost couldn't let it go when his announcing partner gave a compliment to someone on the Rays. For example, when he complimented Kiermaier on his fielding ability, the color guy had to throw in, "yes, and that's like with the Astros with Marisnick and why he's so valuable to the Astros".

Focus, people, focus.

The Rockies have Justin Morneau and they just had a player debut today. His name? Dustin Garneau.

I get a ridiculous kick out of that.

I heard they're also calling up Rustin Barbeau, Sustin Larneau, Kustin Charpeu

Speaking of the Rays crew. I love listening to them call games. Dewayne Staats is fantastic.

DeWayne Staats' voice is like a scratched chalkboard to my ears. I will say this though, he's a lot better at calling games than he was way back in the mid '80s with the Cubs.

Great use of the video board by the Cubs, playing video of Harry Caray singing the stretch. First time I've seen them do this, I was wondering when they would start.

Jerad Eickhoff is making his Major League debut tonight for the Phillies. One of the pieces we got from the Rangers for Cole Hamels. Excited to see the kid.

They mentioned something about it after they were first installed. That it would calm the winds blowing out to left-center a bit. They said yesterday that it was one of the few games with the wind blowing out to RF this season, so far. Not sure if that's because of the board, or just variation in wind patterns from year to year.

Good batch of games so far. Again, hope Baltimore and LA lose while we win against the White Sox. Not looking forward to this series, especially going up against Chris Sale.
