Joc Pexerson has officially lost the starting CF job. Enrique Hernandez is the new everyday Centerfielder.Comment

EDIT: No disrespect to Syndergaard and Duffy. I always forget Duffy is still eligible for ROY. Still don't think he keeps up what he's doing though.Last edited by WaitTilNextYear; 08-24-2015, 12:42 AM.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 8/17 - 8/30 Game Discussion Thread
Pederson, 23, is hitting .163 with a .333 on-base percentage and .293 slugging percentage since the All-Star break. For the season, he is batting .214 with a .798 OPS and has struck out in 29.4 percent of his plate appearances.
Of his 23 home runs, 20 came before the break. Pederson finished as the runner-up to Todd Frazier in the home run derby the day before the All-Star Game in Cincinnati.
Guy goes from starting CF in the AS Game to being benched in 6 weeks?Comment

Re: 8/17 - 8/30 Game Discussion Thread
Might as well pencil Kris Bryant in as NL ROY. Even if Franco and Pederson stayed healthy and starting respectively, Bryant is getting hot again and would've won it anyway. This just guarantees it basically. Heck, at this rate, Schwarber will probably be the runner up. Double heck, the Cubs might sweep the podium if Addison Russell gets hot--he has 1.9 fWAR despite being under water offensively. And Russell's been hitting way better since moving to SS."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I was editing my post as you responded. I always forget about that guy. For some reason I feel like he's been in the majors for 2 or 3 years even though he didn't play enough last year to qualify. Duffy probably takes runner up though, you're right about that. Still don't think he's much more than a poor man's Martin Prado long term though.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Duffy takes ROY I think. Who knows, that's gonna be my favorite award race for sure.
Hopefully Jays sweep Texas.
I always find myself rooting for the Jays to beat certain teams lol.Comment

Although, Duffy's approach is what is going to keep him in the majors long term. If you throw him a strike, his swing has a place for a single somewhere from line to line. I'm not saying he'll keep that up forever, but he doesn't have a hole in his swing unlike Bryant.
Duffy's glove has also been pretty good this year. A couple of weak throws, but the glove has been there.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
