Braves are doing things which make absolutely no sense. Got to see it first hand this series too. Sugar Ray Marimon(who has the best name in sports right now lol) for example. Last night he gave up 2 runs in 1.1IP, so what do Braves do tonight...It's expanded rosters, they got abunch of relievers in bullpen, lets use the exact same guy who struggled all season and most recently last night, again. He gave up a HR in 1IP.

FredI has no clue about how to handle a roster.

Overtaxing bullpens, odd pitcher selections, constant lineup shuffling. I'm ready for him to go away.

I'll be amazed if we stay under 100 losses (have to go 6-9 last 15).

Something apparently mentioned during Braves broadcast, and something I heard too but never paid attention, is that Shelby Miller & Josh Donaldson look like long lost brothers in a way:

AL West..What a crazy turn of events.

When season started,Mariners were the big time faves to win(almost unanimous prediction on ESPN back in April)

At one point time,Angels were right there in race, even had 2 game lead at one point and 2nd best team in the AL by late July. Now they're 3 games out of WC picture and 3rd in their division!

Astros, 7 game lead at one point in time, best team in AL at recently as July, now 2.5 back of division lead and only have a 1 game lead in 2nd WC spot.

I think Mike Trout is alive again. 2 HRs today, go-ahead grand slam included.

Awesome 7 game swing against the Cards/Buccos for the Cubbies. Very easily could've been 7-0, but 5-2 is solid.

Interesting to see that there are still about 2 weeks of season to go and only the 2nd Wild Card team in the AL is really in doubt...meaning that 9 of the 10 playoff teams (in some order) are pretty much set.

The Cubs, Pirates, and Cardinals all have 99.9% playoff odds while the Dodgers and Mets are at 99.7% and 99.4% respectively per ESPN's standings page. The only real race is a lukewarm one in the NL Central with the Bucs and Cubs trying to chase down St. Louis and with the Cubs and Pirates battling for a home playoff game.

In the AL, the Blue Jays and Royals both are locks at 99.9%, with the Yankees at 99.0%. Texas is surging at 92.1% with the Angels (17.6%) and Twins (11.9%) trying to chase down Houston (73.2%) for the final spot. The AL East and West divisions are still up for grabs, sort of, and teams should be fighting like hell to get into a best-of-5 series instead of a one game situation.

                    Looking forward to the postseason.

Son of a bitch. He was having a great year, lots of energy. More worried about the pitching at the moment, but still a huge loss.

Good read about the Kang incident a couple of days ago. Talks about how the whole situation could have been avoided if Kang did one simple, little thing.

He's absolutely right...and why I gave Coughlan a free pass. It's the first thing I noticed.....I said(to myself)..."why is he going INTO the runner rather than sidestepping him?"

Here's a little wrinkle you may not be aware of but it's being talked about during Jays broadcasts but the Blue Jays actually have a serious shot at overtaking the Royals for the best record in the AL which would be HUGE for them as the Jays are a much better home team than they are on the road.

They're only 2 games behind of KC.

Yea Kang also should have known to try and jump to avoid the tag. I figured his infield coach would have taught or told him to do that.
