Good series against the Yanks and thankfully the Jays took it.

BTW the Royals are losing right now and that makes me VERY happy.

Papelbon is such a douche. Can't believe he threw up near Manny's head twice.

      A) if you're going to hit a guy on purpose, throw at his hip
      B) Manny didn't pimp his home run any more than any other player who hit a home run would. Not his fault Scherzer grooved a fastball right down the middle.

I'm sure someone will dig up the video but I just saw the ultimate evidence of umpires needing to chill the eff out. Glen Perkins of the Twins apparently had some back and forth with the HP umpire and was still jawing after the last out of the game.

You know what happened? The umpire "threw him out' of the game even though it's over.

I've seen that happen several times over the years...it's pretty dumb because it doesn't carry over and is just for show.

Dodgers have really played uninspiring ball the last week or so. It's amazing that a team with this much talent can look so flat for extended periods of time.

MLB is only sport really where I can't really think of a national broadcaster who stands out to me. NBA I like people like Marv Albert and stuff. NHL with Bob Cole(unfortunately being disrespected/pushed out by Rogers!). NFL I don't mind their main CBS,NBC,FOX teams.

There's 1-2 names I can think of,but I'll avoid mentioning them since I'm apparently the only person on this site/the internet in general who probably likes either of them.

I liked Fox pre-game stuff they had for Jays-Yankees series awhile back.

Some of these Yankees fans are getting funny to listen to. Cause they're not winning their division for the 3rd straight year(which hasn't happened since early 90s), some fans going crazy bashing people so much.

And apparently Joe Girardi is a horrible manager now? 8 seasons,4(maybe 5) of them with 90+ wins,5 seasons of playoffs,1 WS...That qualifies as a bad manager? Not just one fans opinion, that was the most liked comment on a Yankees post.

Yanks haven't won the division since 2012...what do you mean 3rd straight year?

That's the point. 2013,2014 and now 2015, which will be the 3rd straight year. Last time they went 3+ years without winning division was that stretch from 82-93.

Got it...I read your post as saying they were trying to win the division for a 3rd year in a row and failed.

                            Next on playoff clinching..Royals(magic number 2),Jays(magic number 3) and Cubs(magic number 3).

I know playoff clinching isn't as big of a deal compared to division clinching or playoff series win,but I want to see playoff clinching at home. First time in ages that Jays fans can say their team is heading to playoffs, and would be perfect way to end their final home series of regular season(this upcoming weekend). Sending the playoff team on the road to finish regular season, knowing the next time they see this team at home, is October playoff baseball!

I watched the Fox broadcast and found that interesting.

I only mentioned wanting to see the ESPN feed because I'm holding out hope that Shulman called it. I know he does Sunday Night Baseball but since it's right here in Toronto (he still lives here BTW) I had a feeling he may have worked this one.

Any of our American brethren can let me know of Shulman called the game or not? If so I will have to try and obtain a copy somewhere.

He did call it. Said on twitter it was first time doing so in toronto in 10 years.

Good or bad,all teams should get at least 1 national game a year. Even nfl does it.
