Yeah, I don't like our chances of hosting the WC game. My only hope is that Pittsburgh has struggled somewhat against the Central - even the dregs of it. They are somehow 6-10 against the Reds.

BTW, everything I'm seeing right now says Arrieta's going to pitch tomorrow.

I know Jason Heyward has been viewed mostly as a disappointment, but he has actually turned himself into a very good player, settling in as 6 WAR type of player. Glad to see it...

Welp, I guess the Yankees got ol' #10,000 against them Red Sox. Good.

Also, today was Huddy's last start. Thanks Huddy. Gonna miss you, man.

We're coming for that #1 pick from the Phillies. Hopefully they'll end on a 15 game losing streak.

Yeah, I looked at the standings last night and saw that the Reds are the only threat to take it from the Phillies. Phillies finish the season at home against the Marlins this weekend. Gonna be an interesting weekend to see who ends up with it.

On another Phillies note, as long as they win one of their last three games this weekend, they will avoid losing 100 games for the first time since 1961.

Is this really surprising to anyone? Serious question. Because I remember when those talks were actually going on that the centerpiece was going to be Bogaerts. And it was debatable as to who actually wanted to make the trade among fans. Because Bogaerts was being hyped up as a guy with great power potential at a premium position in SS. He was/is projected to have like 20-25 HR potential.

                Final weekend of regular season!

By looks of it, playoffs are shaping up to be:
Cards vs WC winner(Pirates vs Cubs)
                Mets vs Dodgers
^those 2 are confirmed already(home field in WC game and Mets vs Dodgers is only thing left to be determined)

                Jays vs WC or Rangers
                Royals vs WC or Rangers

I know Jays fans prefer Yankees as opponent. And I'm guessing Royals fans prefer Angels(since they got losing record vs Yankees,Astros,Rangers, compared to being 6-1 vs Angels so far)?

Yeah, he's only a disappointment because of his rookie year hype, and people thinking he was gonna be a 30/30 guy. Looks like he's more of a .280 15/20 guy with a nice OBP. Still, physically he looks like a guy who would have hit more than 100 HR combined in his first 6 seasons.

I want to see a three way tie for that second AL wildcard spot.

In the end I think it was good of the Red Sox not to acquire Stanton. Sure, Stanton would put up monster numbers at Fenway but having a homegrown talented defensive SS who can hit for some power is more valuable. OFers with power aren't that hard to find in the grand scheme of things even though Stanton is an all-world talent it's better to have very good guys at as many positions rather than building around one blue chip.

lol, funnier part is that it was started by a Cubs fan.

That would actually be really cool if the Cubs invited him to throw out the first pitch. And make it a complete surprise.

I think it'd be great if Bartman were there as a way to say "we let bygones be bygones" Course, if i'm Cubs management I put him in a suite or something.
