Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
Sano was a SS when he was in Rookie and a couple of times in A ball. But he was primarily a 3B in the minors last year. And they already have Plouffe there but they could trade him.Last edited by redsox4evur; 11-09-2015, 11:40 AM.Comment

Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
For the record, I don't WANT Cespedes in CF, I just know the Ms need a CF so I was wondering if they look at a big name to fill the void. I wouldn't mind Dexter Fowler.Comment

Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
I wouldn't mind him making the switch to Cubbie Blue for as much as he has killed us since he came into the league. However, was him hitting .293 an aberration or the start of a trend for a guy who has hovered around .250-.260 for the better part of his 6 year career. How many times have we seen guys raise their stock in Cardinal red, only to completely fall off the map once moving on (Colby Rasmus, David Freese, Allen Craig etc.). I mean to be fair, he had proved he had the potential to be an elite player in Atlanta barring healthy, but is the pricetag, worth the risk?
With Fowler departing there is a huge hole in CF and I don't trust any of the current candidates to fill it. It is a shame that Alcantara hasn't progressed as expected, because he is the best outfielder of the whole heap by far and Almora is probably still another year away.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

I could see Rasmus in a Mets uniform next season....
Anywho, looks like the Jays are talking about reducing the budget this coming season "sigh".Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

We got record attendance, highest ratings in history, huge merchandise sales, so many new(and old) fans watching the team, so lets reduce the budget cause there isn't enough money there to spend on guys....Comment

Chicago, like Toronto can be a hyper critical market when players don't perform. Rasmus was loved by the girls in Toronto but the hardcore baseball fans saw his deficiencies. In fact, Rasmus had several incidents where he came to the ballpark late for games and such which really wore out his welcome here.
I think he's better suited to a "quieter" market like Houston to be honest with you.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
And they wonder why attendance has sucked for most of past 20 years. You have one of richest owners in baseball, acting like they're some struggling market who doesn't have much money to spend. Especially after a season in which you posted the best attendance numbers in 20+ years.

Makes no sense..get rid of the GM (essentially), tell the fans you're reducing your budget. It saps every bit of buzz and appeal the team had.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
