Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
I was listening to Sportsnet's Blue Jays podcast from a couple days ago and apparently there's speculation (at least from one of the hosts) that Bud Black could find his way into the Jays organization whether as a minor league instructor or in the front office. He'd clearly be the next manager whenever they get rid of Gibbons if that were the case."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Shapiro and Black have connections. Sure, he's keeping some of AA's guys around but you know as well as I do that as soon as things go south he's gonna turf em out for his people.
There's already talk of one of his Indians cronies (Ron Atkinson) being the new GM.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Wouldn't be surprised if gibbons is gone by next year. Shapiro probably keeping guys for now, just for roster evaluation and stuff. Once he knows what he needs to,he'll get his own guys in
It is first time in 20+yrs hes part of a team where he's unfamiliar with roster,so it'd make sense to keep guys for nowComment

Looks like the Chris Davis to Blue Jays idea isn't just some wishful thinking. Ken Rosenthal reports that the Jays are interested in signing him.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
