Doubtful... Brown vs. Arroyo.. could Vasquez go up against Wakefield Game 4?

The Sox could've at least taken some of the momentum from their comeback last night tonight, but they failed to do so. There were only a couple of brief moments where you thought they might have done something but unlike last night they quickly threw it away. The Yankees have all the momentum right now and they are a VERY strong team on the road... a sweep is likely if Vasquez can get his head on his shoulders and pitch decently.

Wow who would have thought that both Shilling and Martinez would lose the first 2 games. Being a Yankee fan it was what I was hoping but in reality I figured that they would have split the first 2 games. Well it all depends on game 3 now. If the Yanks win I think the series is over, which is an obvious statement, but if Boston wins game 3 then I think I'll be a little worried. Great series so far, both games were pretty intense.

I only saw bits and pieces but it really looks like the Sox are a beaten team by the way they reacted after the game. They look so lifeless and resigned to the fact that they can't beat the Yanks. Pedro pitched pretty well but you know you have problems when you can't score more than a run off of Lieber.

There is no such thing as momentum in baseball. Brown could come out and get smoked like he did the last time he faced the Sox. Arroyo could get smoked as well but it has nothing to do with momentum. It has to do with the quality of starting pitching in which the Yankees have been much better so far.

I personally like the Sox chances in game 3. Kevin Brown is hurting and Arroyo is pitching as well as he has all season. Wakefield vs Vazquez in game 4 is a toss up. I see that as a high scoring game that may come down to the bullpens.
