Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread
Nothing, that's why I said that people just want to see the underdog win. It made for good press and good tv, to see a team that had no chance win the championship.
Now if they win the World Series and you have all these new Red Sox fans, those are the bandwagoners... Just like the ones who jumped on the Carolina train when we went to the Super Bowl, but have already jumped off because of our slow start.Comment

Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread
Congrats, Sox!! I was screaming like crazy at the TV last night for Boston, even though I kinda hate both teams. LOL.
But make no mistake. The curse is still intact. Anything short of a World Series victory, and it remains intact.
The Yankees had nothing to do with '75 or '86. Kicking the curse requires a world championship and nothing short of that.
Still, coming back from 0-3 to the Yanks.......simply astonishing.Comment

Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread
I never really got to post after the series was over.. as I've been pretty busy the past few days..
But man, WHAT A SERIES.. Definitely worthy of the hype given to it before the ALCS started. As I said earlier in the thread, it was in the back of my mind that the Sox could come back and force a game 7, but they definitely over-did it. I KNOW nobody expected to see this great of a series, but I'm glad to see the Sox finally beat the "Evil Empire."
Now.. Pedro.. who's your daddy?Comment
